MEET THE ARTIST : THERESA RICHARDSON

Theresa Richardson is the definition of a self-made artist. She picked up her first pencil as a teenager to draw portraits—and she’s been expanding her creative world ever since! Whether it’s capturing the personality of a beloved pet, the peacefulness of a landscape, or the vibrant beauty of a floral scene, Theresa’s work covers it all. She’s even been known to dabble in wall murals and the occasional abstract just for fun.

While oils and acrylics are her go-to mediums, Theresa also loves the simplicity and detail of charcoal and colored pencils. After balancing motherhood as a single mom of three and squeezing in art commissions whenever she could, she now has the freedom to fully dive into her lifelong passion.

Over the years, Theresa has showcased her work at juried shows like Art on the Green and the Taste of Coeur d’Alene’s in Idaho, and spent years as a featured artist at the Artworks Gallery in Sandpoint. She’s also been part of beloved community events like the River Valley Artisan’s Studio Tour and the River Valley Artisan’s Art and Wine Tour, where local art and wineries create the perfect pairing.

Now, with more time to devote to her craft, Theresa is embracing this next chapter—creating, sharing, and bringing her art to life for collectors and art lovers alike.
